An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Victorian English sterling silver gallery tea tray; an addition to our diverse collection of serving trays.
This exceptional antique Victorian sterling silver gallery tray has an oval form.
The surface of this antique silver serving tray with handles is embellished with impressive bright cut engraved simplified floral motifs, creating a scalloped cartouche to the centre.
The decoration to the surface is further embellished with pensile floral head designs, in addition to quatrefoil floral motifs to the cardinal points, all incorporating wrigglework undulating borders.
The desirable raised gallery border of this impressive example of Victorian silverware is embellished with pierced interlacing motifs, incorporating a plain oval inset handle to either end.
The rim of this sterling silver tray is encompassed with a band of applied bead decoration.
The underside of this antique tray bears the retailer's mark 'W. L. Lawson, Liverpool', in addition to the full hallmarks.
This elegant Victorian oval sterling silver serving tray with handles is perfect for weddings, anniversaries or formal housewarmings. Its versatile design suits both functional service and striking display on a dining table or sideboard.

This Victorian silver serving tray is a superior gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition.
The tray has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition.
Full hallmarks struck to the underside of the tray are all very clear; the hallmarks are struck deeply due to the superior gauge of silver.

This fine antique George V sterling silver tea tray has a rounded navette shaped form.
The surface of the tray is plain and unembellished.
The flared galleried border is embellished with pierced arch and vertical pale decoration accented with circular motifs to the elevating ends.
The upper rim of the hallmarked galleried border is ornamented with a band of applied reed decoration.
