A Charming Swedish Late Gustavian Pewter Platter, produced by pewter-worker Zadoch Bergenholtz from Vimmerby, Småland Sweden
Refined flat late Gustavian pewter platter, made in the year 1809. The period favored and made further developments of the already important Swedish craftsmanship tradition, resulting in pieces that proudly display their craftsmanship. Made by pewter-worker Zadoch Bergenholtz from the Swedish town of Vimmerby in the south-east of Sweden. The town is famous for being the birthplace of children's books. The province of Småland was also the main province of origin for Swedish emigrants making their way to the New World in search of a better life.
