Elegant oval beveled glass tray, engraved and painted on the back.
The decoration, executed with gold and polychrome enamels, depicts three stylized vases enriched with geometric and figurative motifs. A geometrically patterned frame harmoniously frames the composition, lending balance and sophistication to the overall design.
This exquisite object is the work of master engraver and cutter Erwin Walter Burger, a leading figure in 20th-century Italian glass art. After a long collaboration with Fontana Arte, Burger embarked on an independent activity from 1945, signing works of great aesthetic and technical value such as this one.
