Late 19th Century Large White Ironstone Serving Platter by renowned Staffordshire, England pottery firm 'Henry Alcock Co'. On reverse side is company stamp with the words "Florence" and "Parisian Porcelain" - the Florence pattern name referring to a romantic or classical design, while Parisian Porcelain refers to a fine quality and desirability. Platters of this size (17"L) were commonly used for large roasts or centerpiece servings.
