Manufacturer: Meissen, Germany Material: Porcelain Dimensions: H. 5 cm, L. 39 cm, W. 18 cm Mark: Crossed swords in underglaze blue, impressed numbers and marks Period: Circa 1924–1934 Condition: Excellent condition, with minor signs of use Quality: 3rd quality A classic serving platter from Meissen, characterized by the simple white glaze with blue trim. The scalloped form adds an elegant touch, typical of Meissen’s porcelain production of the interwar period. Founded in 1710, Meissen was Europe’s first porcelain manufactory and quickly became renowned for its superior quality and artistic decoration. The crossed swords mark, in use since the 1720s, remains one of the world’s oldest and most recognized porcelain trademarks.
