About the Item

Iconic ceramic plate with black and white screen print on the surface, depiting Lina Cavalieri (Fornasetti's Muse), designed by Piero Fornasetti in the mid-20th Century. From the series "Theme and Variations", the wall plate is marked by the logo Fornasetti and the number of the variation within the series. In excellent condition. Piero Fornasetti (Milan 1913-1988). " So I dressed in vestiges of ceramics, furniture and things and so I placed in each work a message, a small story sometimes ironic, obviously without words, but audible by those who believe in poetry"  Piero Fornasetti. The Milanese designer Fornasetti was a sculptor, painter, interior decorator, book printer and creator of more than thirteen thousand objects: his production is one of the largest of the twentieth century. Her aesthetic, guided by an immediately recognizable style, is full of color, humor, mystery.
