Wonderfully handcrafted Carl Deffner copper jug with bronze handles.
This good size and wonderful shape Arts
Crafts jug was all-handcrafted (and marked) by the famous German maker Carl Deffner. Both the overal design and the warm patina of this pouring jug make her an absolute joy to own and look at. However, the strikingly stylized and embossed flower patterns are what make this handcrafted antique a masterpiece. The organically flowing patterns are all around and even on top of the rounded lid. Apart from a few minor indentations to the vessel and another minor one to the base, this rare and glorious antique is in excellent condition. Looking at it, we think it has not been used a lot and that probably is because this jug was always more considered a work of art than anything else. No matter where you decide to have it on display, this German Arts and Crafts gem will never fail to impress.
