About the Item

Antique 19th Century French Serres porcelain pair of lidded vases, exude elegance with their ornate ormolu mounts. Delicately adorned with graceful acanthus leaf handles, each vase features a lid crowned by a flower bulb finial, encircled by intricate borders. The urn shaped body of the vases is adorned with painted cartouches depicting scenes of lovers in idyllic landscapes, complemented by panels of blooming flowers, all set within gilt borders against a striking blue background. The vibrant Sèvres blue glaze is enhanced by lavish gold foliage motifs. Though lacking signatures, these masterpieces are attributed to Sevres, showcasing unparalleled craftsmanship and artistic finesse. CONDITION In Great Condition - Wear expected with age.
