About the Item
A fine antique Dresden porcelain tazza or footed tray.
Attributed to the Helena Wolfsohn factory.
The center of the tray with a painted scene of a man taking off his hat to greet two women in a garden.
The rim with a blue fishscale border with gold accents.
With a (somewhat misinformed) old note to the base that reads:
"TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
This is to certify that the four-footed blue and purple china Tray covered by the attached invoice was purchased by us through Messrs. E. Whiteaway
Company of London, England, in June 1937, and s a Cypher of Augustus XI of Poland, Elector of Saxony, circa 1725 to 1740, being therefore a genuine antique.
