About the Item

Very rare Meissen Art Nouveau porcelain group: Girl in a striped dress with polka dots and a white blouse holding a bouquet of flowers in both hands above her head and fending off a ravenous goat that jumps up on her. The group is based on a white round base with a delicate, beige painted floral garland frieze. Very lifelike and loving representation of the characters and the details Designer: OSKAR ERICH HOESEL (1869 - 1951) was a German sculptor and designer. Since 1904 professor, head of the design department in Meissen from 1907, in the position of design director from 1912 until his retirement in 1929.
