We invite you here to look at a splendid as well as nicest Augarten Vienna tea set for twelve persons: This Augarten tea set is of finest elegance due to its delicate green monochrome paintings depicting various flower's blossoms with leaves as well as due to golden painted edges, circa 1970. Form Schubert described by Augarten manufactory: The classic “SCHUBERT” shape dates back to the Biedermeier era - a period in the 19th century that captured the true spirit of the 'Viennese' style of the time. Floral patterns which had a particularly elegant and delicate look nestled on the round shape were typical of the Biedermeier era. - Especially the decoration “Maria Theresia” - once designed for the hunting lodge of Empress Maria Theresia - is of superb elegant appearance. The deep green of glaze / varnish - nowadays a very special feature of manufactory - had been an exciting innovation during Maria Theresia's reign.
