Cup: Diameter 10.5 cm without handle x Height 5.5 cm.
Saucer: Diameter 15.5 cm.
Axel Salto (1889-1961), was a Danish painter, graphic designer, illustrator and ceramic artist. Today is known as one of the finest masters of 20th-century modern ceramic art. He collaborated with the manufacturer Bing
Grøndahl, later with Carl Hallier at his Frederiksberg studio, then briefly with Saxbo ceramics, and finally with Royal Copenhagen, where he was a designer from 1933 until the 1950s.
