Six porcelain cups and saucers, made by Alfred Lanternier for Limoges, France, in the 1920s. The cups and saucers are decorated with a pink floral motif and have a ribbed shape. Three of the saucers have a blue flower, and the other three only pink flowers
Alfred Lanternier's father, François Frédéric Lanternier, founded a luxury porcelain workshop in 1857. In 1890, his son, Alfred Lanternier, joined the company. Alfred had gained experience in England as a representative for Wedgewood. The company changed its name to A. Lanternier
Co.
The porcelain is marked with the Alfred Lanternier mark, which was used between 1918 and 1929.
