About the Item

An elegant Paris porcelain dish, finely crafted in a flowing, Rococo-inspired form. The piece is enhanced with a rich polychrome decoration of floral garlands and gilded arabesques applied in fine gold, in a distinctly Louis XV style. The center features a delicate floral monochrome on a soft green background, while the pastel pink rim with a gold border highlights the overall refinement. The slightly scalloped edge adds a touch of dynamism and lightness. A stylized side handle allows for an elegant grip—typical of the refined small serving dishes and trinket trays of the early 20th century. On the reverse, the handwritten mark "Le Tallec à Paris" accompanied by the painted monogram testifies to the work of a renowned Parisian decorator active during the first half of the 20th century.
