About the Item
This is an antique hard paste porcelain bowl made by the New Hall Porcelain Works, Shelton, Staffordshire, England, hand painted in the Boy in the Window pattern number 425, dating to very early in the 19th century, circa 1800.
The bowl is well potted on a low foot.
The decoration is hand-painted in bold enamels in a chinoiserie pattern called "Boy or Lady in the Window" and is pattern number 425. The inner bowl also has a hand painted figure in the base and an inner rim dot and line border.
This is a recorded New Hall pattern.
Overall a good decorative antique bowl by New Hall.

This is a hard paste porcelain waste or slop bowl by New Hall in a hand painted Chinoiserie figure pattern No. 20, dating to the late 18th century, circa 1790.
The bowl is well potted on a mid depth foot.
The decoration is hand-painted using bold enamels in a charming chinoiserie figure pattern, number 20, showing a Lady with a parasol being presented a flower by a young man, all by a fence in a garden setting. The inner rim has a repeated border pattern and the inside base has a hand painted flower bud sprig which is worn and faded.
This is a recorded New Hall pattern No 20.

This is a highly decorative, ironstone, twin handled circular footed Bowl by John Ridgway, dating to the English William 1Vth period, circa 1835 .
The bowl has been carefully hand-painted in bold colorful enamels with a chinoiserie pattern of three oriental people travelling on a boat, pattern number 5057. It is also richly hand gilded.
John Ridgway operated at his father’s celebrated Cauldon Place works, Shelton, Hanley, England, between 1830-1856, producing some fine porcelain and stone China of excellent quality. His stone China earthenwares and ironstone wares are discussed on page 305 of Godden's Guide to Ironstone, Stone and Granite Wares written by Geoffrey Godden for the Antique Collectors Club.
