About the Item

Pillar-vase takes inspiration from the ancient human-made rock formations. It references the ancient architecture and the human touch in carved stones. The sculptural vase displays flowers in a horizontal fan-like alignment and the electric blue porcelain brings out the natural hues of flowers.  Pillar vase is handmade, signed and numbered by the artist in Helsinki, Finland. Each vase is unique and has slightly different details due to the making-process.

Handmade chess-inspired ceramic vase Italy "Blue Turquoise Bishop" Sara Khamisi
By Sara Khamisi
Located in Milano, IT
The “Bishop Vase" from the "Kish o Mat" collection, designed by the artist Sara Khamisi is inspired by chess characters. Each ceramic in this collection tells a unique story.  The "Bishop vase" features a cylindrical body composed of two slightly offset halves, elegantly referencing the distinctive diagonal movements of the bishop piece on the chessboard. Handcrafted in Milan from slipcast ceramic, the vase has a shiny, blue turquoise glaze finish that enhances its sleek, contemporary aesthetic. Thanks to its handmade nature, each vase has slight imperfections, adding to its charm and authenticity. Its clean and simple design makes it suitable for a variety of interior styles. It can be displayed alone or arranged with other elements from the collection to create elegant and sculptural compositions. Drawing on her Persian heritage, the artist named the collection "Kish o Mat," the Persian term that inspired the word "Checkmate." This collection represents a modern interpretation of historic forms. Order yours today and enhance your collection of decor...
