CHRISTIAN FREDERIK EMIL ECKARDT (Danish, 1832-1914) - 'Mino' ('Son of the Right Hand' - Ancient Hebrew) 'Gabriela' - PIRKENHAMMER PORCELAIN FACTORY (Fischer Meig) - Extraordinary and rare pair of antique porcelain cabinet plates by one of Denmark's most gifted late 19th century artists - featuring fine hand painted portraits of a boy and girl in Capri or Rome (after a pair of similar paintings by Adriano Bonifazi, late 19th century) - suitable for framing or cabinet display - each signed E. Eckardt Dresden - each titled on the back - impressed 'F&M' on the back of one (mark used between 1853-73) - Europe - circa 1900. MINO - Excellent antique condition - old restoration to the rim below the signature (as photographed) - a couple of minor surface scratches near the neck - no cracks - no loss - no damage - signs of age and use. GABRIELA - Excellent antique condition - no loss - no damage - no restoration - minor signs of age and use. Size/Dimensions - 9" (23 cm.) Diameter x 1 1/8" (3 cm.) Deep.
