Initially known for luxury accessories and objets d'art, ROBJ gained international acclaim in the 1920s and 1930s for its whimsical and sophisticated Art Deco porcelain pieces. The brand became especially renowned for: Figural decanters Liqueur sets Tea and coffee services Decorative ceramics and lighting ROBJ collaborated with top ceramists and artists of the time, producing collectible designs that balanced artistry, humor, and modernism. Their pieces often featured vivid glazes, geometric forms, and gilded accents, making them icons of the Art Deco period. After Jean Born's untimely death in a car accident in 1922, the brand continued to thrive under the artistic direction of Lucien Willemetz, who maintained ROBJ’s distinct blend of elegance and playfulness until the company’s decline in the 1950s. Today, ROBJ Paris ceramics are highly collectible, sought after by design aficionados and museums for their craftsmanship and charm.
