VIENNA / Old Imperial Austrian Porcelain Manufactory ( = ALT WIEN / KAISERLICHE PORZELLAN MANUFAKTUR ) dated 1819 ABUNDANTLY PAINTED (STUNNING PICTURE PAINTING !) HALLMARKED: PAINTER'S NUMBER 77 ( = JOHANN GEORG GMENT ) BLUE BEEHIVE MARK (UNDERGLAZED) PAINTER'S NUMBER: 77 = JOHANN GEORG GMENT (HAVING BEEN ACTIVE 1791 - 1828) FORMER'S NUMBER 7 DATED 1819 It is porcelain of highest quality, manufactured in period when MATTHIAS NIEDERMAYER had direction of Viennese Imperial Porcelain Manufactory (1805 - 1827). SUBJECT: This excellent ANTIQUE VIENNESE CUP WITH SAUCER DERIVING FROM AUSTRIAN IMPERIAL PORCELAIN MANUFACTORY is decorated in finest manner with ABUNDANT PAINTINGS DEPICTING VARIOUS ORNAMENTS, consisting of patterns of geometric as well as of floral type, further there are rings of snakes visible - all golden painted / further INLAYS MADE OF SILVER visible - these laid on white shaded bottom / the cup's wall is decorated with FINEST PICTURE PAINTING - it is a LANDSCAPE presenting following (BLACK PAINTED INSCRIPTION AT CUP'S REVERSE SIDE VISIBLE): "Ansicht des Trinkkurplatzes auf dem Glacis vor dem Carolinenthore zu Wien" ( = View of drinking place for reconvalescence treatment, being situated on the Glacis, in front of the Caroline Gate in Vienna ). By the way, the well known baroque Viennese Charles' Church - having once constructed by J. B. Fischer von Erlach - is well visible on picture. - The edged areas as well as cup's inner side are painted in GOLD / golden painted hoisted handle of volute type existing. SIZE: height diameter of cup: 4.05 / 3.62 inches (= 10.3 / 9.2 cm) diameter of saucer: 6.37 inches (= 16.2 cm)
