About the Item
This is a small cup for drinking sake. It is called Ochoko in Japanese.
It was made in showa era around 1970s. It is made with porcelain and all hand painted.
This is Kutani ware from Ishikawa prefecture.
Design is with some poem and landscape.
On the bottom of this ochoko, there is written
'Sotsu gyou Ki nen'
It means this ochoko was for some one who graduated school.
This was a memorial souvenir ochoko.
