About the Item

This is a porcelain plate for serving dishes. It can be used as a decoration too. It is all hand painted and on the back there is a signature written 'Zuihou' in Japanese. Zouihou is a kiln name of Arita ware. ーーーー Zouihou is a long-established pottery kiln located in Sotoyama, Arita — a region renowned for its centuries-old porcelain tradition. Founded nearly 100 years ago, the kiln has continued to produce high-quality porcelain without interruption, even through times of social and economic change. While embracing certain modern efficiencies, Zouihou remains deeply rooted in traditional craftsmanship. Each piece is shaped with care, and the final decoration is still done by hand, reflecting the spirit and precision of Japanese artisanship. The resulting works are not only beautiful but are designed to bring comfort and harmony to everyday life. At Zouihou, every vessel carries with it a quiet wish — for peace, warmth, and a meaningful connection between maker and user.
