Meissen gorgeous figurine group of stunning appearance: There is a couple of gallant gardeners - man and woman - visible. Manufactory: Meissen. Dating: Third quarter of 19th century / made circa 1880. Blue meissen sword mark with pommels on hilts. First quality Material: White porcelain, glossy finish, finest painting. Technique: Handmade porcelain. Designer: Michael Victor Acier (*6.8.1736 Versailles/France) - † 17.2.1799 Dresden/Germany) / designed and modelled circa 1770. M.V.Acier received his education as sculptor in Paris. The artist went in year 1762 to Meissen Porcelain Manufactory after he had gotten an appointment to modeller. Subsequently Acier has become famous for having created a lot of porcelain figurines of Watteau Style. Finally, Acier went to Dresden in year 1780 in order to be active als Modeller of Royal Saxon Court. Specifications: Subject: Gorgeous figurine group of stunning appearance: There is couple of two gardeners visible. There is a lovely couple visible - a young man accompanied by his female companion (both figurines stand on rocky ground) ... The woman is wearing a flower pot where some rose flowers have been put into / the man holds a bundle of rose flowers, too (roses are symbol of love!) / additionally, a watering can and a chest from which leaves are growing out have been laid on rocks. The modelling is of finest quality, the details are delicately shaped / the young couple's features as well as their figurines are of stunning loveliness. All figurines are dressed in fine bucolic Rococo garments (the man wears a jacket, a multicoloured vest, a white shirt, breeches and buckled shoes, the woman wears a long corselette dress with apron and a hat). The figurine group is attached to oval base with Rocaille decorations at edge. Measures / dimensions: Total height: 7.08 inches, total width: 4.92 inches, total depth: 3.54 inches. There are the following marks existing: Model Number C 64 / Painter's Number 5 / Former's Number 121. Condition: Excellent / there aren't any damages existing.
