Elegant cup and saucer made of Meissen porcelain, entirely hand-painted with vivid genre scenes and river landscapes enlivened by figures, architecture and boats, inspired by Dutch models of the time.The cup features a gilded interior and base, shaped handle with gold appliqué and finely profiled rim. The saucer is decorated with a central figured reserve on a lustrous gold background. On the bottom, mark to crossed swords in blue below deck, characteristic of royal Meissen manufacture (Augustus the Strong period). Cup height: 7 cmCup saucer diameter: 13.5 cm Very good condition, with slight wear to the gilding.Piece of great charm and quality, representative of Meissen's early production in early 18th-century European taste.
