Elegant cup and saucer made of Meissen porcelain, entirely hand-painted with vivid genre scenes and river landscapes enlivened by figures, architecture and boats, inspired by Dutch models of the time.The cup features a gilded interior and base, shaped handle with gold appliqué and finely profiled rim. The saucer is decorated with a central figured reserve on a lustrous gold background.
On the bottom, mark to crossed swords in blue below deck, characteristic of royal Meissen manufacture (Augustus the Strong period).

Very good condition, with slight wear to the gilding.Piece of great charm and quality, representative of Meissen's early production in early 18th-century European taste.
