Meissen tall snake handles vase / designed by Leuteritz Please note: Abundantly painted (= painted decorations of rarest type) ! Manufactory: Meissen Dating: made during 19th century (circa 1870) Hallmarked: Meissen Mark with Pommels on Hilts (= 19th century) First quality model number A 148 / painter's number 29 Material: white porcelain, partially golden painted, glossy finish, flower and figured (multicolored) paintings Technique: handmade porcelain Style: Neo-Empire style, designed by E.A. Leuteritz (circa 1861) Specifications: Meissen gorgeous as well as tall snake handles vase = Rarest paintings ! -- the vase's upper part is decorated with a pair of sculptured snakes having function of handles -- the vase's outer wall made of golden painted / white porcelain is decorated at both sides with finest paintings laid on white porcelain: ° Figured paintings: painted scenes of Watteau style, depicting couples clad in Rococo garments as well as situated in Romantic landscapes ° Flower paintings: flower bundles and strewn flowers abundantly scattered on vase's white surface - various types of flowers are visible: rose flowers, poppy flowers, morning glories, dahlia flowers, tulips, spring snowflake etc. -- the vase's round foot as well as edge of mouth, handles and parts of surface are covered with golden paintings as well as decorated with sculptured stylized patterns. Measures / dimensions: Height: 47.0 cm (= 18.50 inches) Width (measured from one handle to other): 31.0 cm (= 12.20 inches) Depth: 20.0 cm (= 7.87 inches) Condition: Excellent / due to age, there are a few tiny rubbings on golden color at one handle visible, apart from that there aren't any signs of age existing.
