MEISSEN VERY LOVELY FIGURINE: MOTTO CHILD BY M.V.ACIER / JE LES METS A CALME ( = I'M CONCILIATING AND I'M SOOTHING ) Manufactory: Meissen Hallmarked: Blue Meissen Sword Mark (underglazed) FIRST QUALITY It is model G 29 (model number isn't visible here). Dating: made circa 1790 = Marcolini Period Material: porcelain, glossy finish, multicolored painted Technique: handmade porcelain SIZE: height: 7.87 inches total width: 4.72 inches depth: 3.93 inches MODELLER: Michel Victor ACIER, 1779-81, according to designs created circa 1775 by Schoenau DETAILED INFORMATIONS / SUBJECT: The lovely brown-haired as well as winged cherub boy is almost naked / he is wearing a drapery attached to his hip and laid in fancy manner over the cherub's right shoulder / further the nice winged boy is pouring water over TWO BURNING HEARTS laid on a column's stump. The modelling is of finest quality, the details are delicately shaped / the child's features as well as its figurine are of stunning loveliness. The cherub is attached to oval base with golden painted meander frieze at edged area / the column is denominated by inscription "JE LES METS A CALME" (= "I'M CONCILIATING AND I'M SOOTHING"). CONDITION: VERY GOOD THERE AREN'T ANY DAMAGES EXISTING ! A VERY FEW SMALL RESTORATIONS HAVE BEEN EXCELLENTLY DONE (NOT VISIBLE WITH NAKED EYE).
