About the Item

Wonderful Porcelain Coffee cup and saucer "Sirenas peinadas con coral and hormiga" by Salvador Dalí. The famous surrealist artist created this model in 1977 with mermaids, red vivid corals and small ants on a white background. Each piece has a gold rim on the edges giving a very luxurious aspect. Limited edition made of German porcelain produced by the Manufactory Schirnding in 1978. 1000 numbered sets of 100 pieces were created. This coffee cup with its saucer belongs to the set n°520/1000. We have a total of 4 cups of this model available. Each piece is titled, signed and dated on bottom in the glaze: "Sirenas peinadas con coral y hormiga Dali 1977" and stamped in the centre: SCHIRNDING BAVARIA (Ed.). and the following affirmation : "Wir bestätigen, dass dieses Porzellanstück mit einem Exklusivdekor von Salvador Dali versehen ist und zu einer 100-teiligen Tischausstattung mit der Seriennummer 510 gehört. Die Serie ist begrenzt auf weltweit 1000 Exemplare. Schirnding, den 1. Dezember 1978 Porzellanfabrik Schirnding AG gez. Seltmann."
