Inspired by the lavished elegance of the Ottoman empire, this porcelain plate is part of a limited series of 100 pieces and six different designs, each paying homage to an aspect of Constantinople culture. In this case, the mint green of the background is adorned with a series of monkeys, rendered exquisitely in all their details, and with a central abstract decoration. Either used with other identical pieces or paired with ones from the other series, this plate will make an arresting statement on the dining table.
