About the Item

Colourfully painted porcelain figures of two putti, one putto with the attributes of the goddess Diana - a bow and quiver with arrows - the other one represents Hermes with a winged helmet playing the flute. The putti stand on pedestals with a Bavarian coat of arms. The putti come from the series ‘Putti as Gods and Heroes’. The figures are marked on the base Nymphenburg 1900-1920, model number 257a and 267a. The model was designed by Franz Anton Bustelli and Dominik Auliczek around 1760.
