About the Item

Set of 5 porcelain cups and saucers from the Fischer and Mieg manufactory. The cups, shaped like an open flower, feature a rich multicolour and gold floral decoration. The rim is highlighted with a gold line, and the upper band shows a floral frieze framed by two thin gold lines. The handle is also decorated with a small gold vegetal pattern. The saucers, also flower shaped, present multicolour floral and bird motifs with gold accents. The rim shows the same decorative band as the cups and is finished with a fine gold line. All pieces bear the F&M mark (Fischer and Mieg), from the historic Austro-Hungarian manufactory of Pirkenhammer (Czech Republic). The set is in good overall condition, with light wear consistent with age. Circa 1850. Dimensions: Cups: Diameter 8 cm / Height 4.4 cm Saucers: Diameter 11.2 cm
