About the Item

Set of twelve (12) antique porcelain cabinet plates with exceptional gilt borders and lovely transfer scenes of Roman nymphs and muses frolicking with putti after Angelica Kaufmann, aka Maria Anna Angelika Kauffmann. Each marked IMPERIAL 22 KARAT. Each in good condition. A few with visible scratches to the reserves, and a few with oxidation and stains to the gilt surfaces in small areas. Likely of German or Czech origin. Eight designs in total (Three of one design, two of two designs, and a single example of six designs.)
