Vintage Trompe l'Oeil Porcelain Canister depicting a stack of 29 plates with walnuts on top plate, circa 1960s. This vintage item is signed on the bottom: Mancioli - Italy. It is almost identical to the Este Ceramiche porcelain Trompe l'Oeil canisters made for Tiffany Co. This canister can be used for storage or simply as a decorative item. There are 6 hand painted three dimensional walnuts on the top plate and there are 29 Trompe l'Oeil plates hand painted in a light brown color representing the edge of each faux plate. It boasts a stunning design that will catch the eye of anyone who sees it. SIZE: 8" diameter 9" high 9.5" high to the top of the walnuts

A stunning 1940 Italian white porcelain lidded pot finely decorated with Zodiac figures from classical antiquity in 24k "Oro Zecchino" by Arrigo Finzi. Gilt ceramic lid. Signed Finzi Oro Zecchino Made in Italy on underside of potiche and Hutschenreuther on underside of cover. Finzi often hand painted his designs on Hutschenreuther and Heinrich blanks. Arrigo Finzi was the only Italian silversmith to be selected to participate in the exhibition "Italy at work, her renaissance in design today", promoted by the CNA (Compagnia Nazionale Artigiana) and hosted by 12 important American museums from 1950-1952 to present the best of the decorative arts produced in Italy since the end of the war.
