This small vase is made from Canton porcelain and was created in China in the 20th century.
Composed of ornamental motifs such as plants and interlacing, this vase is pink, blue-green and pale yellow. On the main face of the vase, we find the branch of a budding tree. Surrounded by a rosebush we find on the branch a small bird.
Canton porcelain, also called Cantonese porcelain, is a typical and characteristic style decorated in the city of Guangzhou. Guangzhou is the capital and largest city of Guangdong Province in southern China. In the 18th and 20th centuries, porcelain objects were the largest export produced in China.
