About the Item

This richly colored Bauer Co. oil jar is a great addition to any home. Bauer was in business from the late 1880's until the 1960's. The company moved from Kentucky to California in 1910. At the height of the colorful pottery craze, Bauer produced these desirable oil jars. We personally have a small collection of these jars that we will be offering here on 1st dibs. The oil jars were the only pieces that grabbed our attention. The shape and brilliant colors really attracted us. After being dealers and collectors since the early 1970's, it's time to let some other folks enjoy these beautiful pieces. This particular jar does bear the Bauer signature.
