Il est né en 1885 à Lille et mort en 1963 à Saint-Sever. Sa carrière s'effectue d'abord dans le Nord de la France (Fives-Lille, Nimy en Belgique, Billancourt, Antony) puis à Saint-Sever. Il a fondé en 1920 la Faïencerie d'Art d'Antony (95), associé avec Eugène Val, membre important de la chambre syndicale de la céramique et de la verrerie, où il collabore avec :
Jean de La Fontinelle (spécialiste des décors animaliers),
André Villien (un vase signé des deux hommes l'atteste), •
Georges Cassin (entre 1936 et 1937 il travaille à la manufacture nationale de Sèvres puis à l'usine Boch en Belgique).
