About the Item
From a very large Studio Pottery collection we offer this stunning vintage British Studio Pottery jug by renowned potter Sheila Casson and made in Ross-On-Wye and dating from the second half of the 20th century. This stylish rounded bulbous stoneware jug stands on a narrow rounded foot with loop handle and with a raised and deep channeled pouring spout the rounded body applied with raised layered wave like designs to either side. The jug is salt glazed with a chestnut brown, slightly textured finish with seal mark impressed below the handle.
In excellent original condition.
