About the Item
A stylish thrown and glazed stoneware studio pottery vase with a ribbed body attributed to Susan Bennett (b.1954) and dated 1977. The vase has a bell shaped body with a wide flat rounded and unglazed base and has a pinched neck and large trumpet shaped top. The body of the vase is decorated in pale green stone coloured glazes with a raised horizontal ribbing to the body and top with raised elements over decorated in matt brown glazes. The vase has a black signature mark to the base along with the date 77 for 1977.
In good condition with a tiny nick to the underside of the footrim, possibly in the making.
