About the Item

60s Mexican mid-century Abalone shell grasshopper tray with lid, mixed metals. Offered for sale is a Mexican Mid-Century Modern mixed metals (brass, copper, metal, and abalone shell) covered grasshopper tray. It is very rare to find the original cover with the base. Both the cover and the legs are inset with abalone pieces and the lid has a handle on it. The rear leg is Illegibly signed on the underside as pictured but is made in the style of Los Castillo and other mid-century period Taxco metalworkers.
