About the Item
Antique Russian imperial silver tea strainer, ornately crafted with fine cloisonne enamel work. Fully hallmarked on the back of the strainer with the kokoshnik mark along with an unknown makers mark. Dates from the late 1800's to the early 1900's (circa 1896-1908). The handle measures .7 inch in width, the tea strainer portion measures 1.9 inches in width by .6 inch in height (measures a total of 5.7 inches from one end to the other). Left unpolished to keep its original aged look.

A fine antique Russian Imperial silver gilt & cloisonne enamel tea caddy spoon, Moscow, circa 1880.
The shovel shaped spoon having a gilded ground, the handle and rear of the spoon is finely decorated with multicolored floral cloisonne, with jewel tone colors of blue, turquoise, ivory and red. The spoon stem having turned and gilded decoration, the spoon is stamped to the rear of the stem with the maker's marks, silver mark of 84 and the mark for Moscow.
