An exceptional and highly sculptural Art Deco serving set, dating from the late 1920s to early 1930s. This striking ensemble comprises a central serving bowl accompanied by two separate stands designed for sauces or smaller dishes, together forming a beautifully balanced and architectural table presentation.
The set is executed in a refined combination of chromed metal, warm walnut wood, and clear glass—materials emblematic of the Art Deco period and here brought together with strong geometric lines and elegant symmetry. The central bowl is elevated within a walnut frame and supported by chromed spherical elements, while the accompanying sauce stands feature glass inserts held within matching walnut and chrome constructions, echoing the bold yet sophisticated design language of the era.
The serving bowl shows visible wear to the interior base, where the brass beneath the chrome plating has gently emerged, consistent with age and use and clearly visible in the photographs. This patina adds authenticity and character without detracting from the overall visual impact of the piece.
