A Booths Silicon China jug and plate set in the Pompadour pattern, produced by Booths, one of England’s most respected pottery manufacturers of the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
The Pompadour pattern is known for its elegant floral decoration, combining hand-painted detailing layered over a blue-and-white transfer base—an approach that gives the design both depth and refinement. The pieces are made in Booths’ Silicon China, a high-quality earthenware developed by the company as a durable yet refined alternative to fine porcelain.
The Pompadour pattern dates to around 1907 and remained in production through much of the first half of the 20th century, making these pieces a classic example of Edwardian-era English tableware.
