About the Item

Rare cabaret centerpiece for aperitif, tea or wine in gilt cut glass attributed to Daum with vermeil mount on openwork gilt bronze tray (circa 1891) The tray dimensions : 19 2/8 x 11 2/8 in The mounts of the pitchers and the biscuit tin in vermeil hallmarked Minerve(925/1000e) and hallmark G&B of an unidentified French silversmith The pitchers and goblets in blown glass, cut with flat sides and enhanced with gold from the Trianon service from the Daum glassworks in Nancy in the style of the 18th century. This service created in 1891 is represented in the catalog raisonné of the glass work of Daum in Nancy (cf the book DAUM Collection of the Museum of Fine Arts of Nancy). Condition: Very good overall condition with gilding of the silver in normal wear of the time. A crack on a pitcher which does not prevent its use. Gilding of the glasses and pitchers in very good vintage condition
