About the Item

Ham holder made of chrome-plated metal with wood handle grips on white carrara marble base. Probably French or Italian, first half of the 20th century. A ham holder is an instrument used to hold hams in place so that they can be cut more easily. Therefore a steel mechanism with adjustable sharp spiked jaws holds the ham in place. Dimensions Height: 14 cm / 5.51 inch. Width: 55 cm / 21.65 inch. Depth: 37 cm / 14.56 inch. Marble Plate 3 cm high, 42,5 cm wide, 28 cm deep / 1.18 inch high, 16.73 inch wide, 11.02 inch deep.
