Elegant pair of silver-plated serving utensils designed and handcrafted by Emilia Castillo in Taxco, Guerrero, Mexico, circa 1980s. Each piece is composed of solid brass with a silver-plated finish, featuring hand-hammered bowls and elongated sculptural handles adorned with scroll-like curves — a hallmark of Castillo’s refined, architectural aesthetic.
This design beautifully illustrates Emilia Castillo’s ability to blend organic form with modernist precision, drawing upon her renowned family lineage as the daughter of Antonio Castillo, founder of the legendary Los Castillo workshop. Her work continues the legacy of exceptional Taxco silversmithing while introducing a distinctly contemporary sensibility celebrated by collectors and interior designers worldwide.
Each piece is signed and hallmarked “Emilia Castillo, Mexico MR. TO-85 Plateado” and retains its original silver finish with minimal wear consistent with age.
