About the Item

In the Renaissance Revival rose pattern first produced by the Barrettoni già Antonibon pottery in Nove, Italy, a hand painted, round serving platter with a scalloped rim, circa 1930s. An overall floral decoration with a bright blue dash and dot border on a scallop rimmed platter. Brightly glazed, the Rose floral pattern is distinctive to this type of Italian Majolica ceramics. Measures: 13.5 in. in diameter x 1.5 in. height Marked: Impressed ‘Italy’ with both makers marks and the mark of the glazer on the verso. Light wear to the rims, typical of faïence. A small nip to the footing, not effecting the seating.
