About the Item

A nest of two Industrial style brass and bronze-handled trays unattributed area of manufacture, probably from the early 20th Century. The trays are substantial and solid of quality construction. Both trays are of rectangular form, each with two squared-rectangular handles running the length of each side, the top of the larger tray with some engraved texturing. Both have developed a burnished gold patina over the years. With short bracket feet, otherwise unmarked. The smaller is 12 by 15 inches; the larger is 13-3/4 by 19-3/4 inches. They are about 2.5 inches high. There is some tarnishing on the underside and variations in patination PROVENANCE: acquired at a household furnishings estate sale. Wonderful vintage pieces.
