About the Item
This antique silver plated dual wine bottle coaster or slide shows no maker's marks, but is presumed to have been made in England in circa 1820 in the period Regency style. The coasters each have high sides and turned wooden bases and are held together with two simple loops that are intended for resting the bottle stoppers in. At either end of the coaster, are looped handles which are intended for pulling, or 'sliding' the bottles back and forth on a table or service area. The coasters have felt covers on the bottoms of both respectively.
