About the Item

This. antique silver plated figural centerpiece is unsigned, but presumed to have been made in England in circa 1880 in the period Victorian style. The centerpiece features a figural child grape stand in the center, which overlooks a large scalloped fruit bowl underneath as he holds an etched glass eperne in his other hand. The base is done with a series of stylized leaves. The fluted eperne vase is nicely etched and has a crimped edge around the rim. The grape shears are not original to this centerpiece, but are being included as they came together and the post, intended to hang fruit, can also be used for the shears when not in use.
