About the Item
Circa 1940's Chased Sheffield silver plated plateau with removable legs. The tray has a pierced gallery with garland swag decoration, and both rims being decorated with reeded decoration as well. The central platform tray has wonderful etching surrounding a central simple medallion. The plateau is raised on the original legs, which have shell decoration incorporated with fluting and terminating in paw feet. The legs are all attached underneath with the original wing nuts. This is a wonderful example of timeless elegance that can be used anywhere in a fine home for a splendid presentation.
