About the Item
A Fine, Georgian, Old Sheffield Plate Four-Part Entree Dish c1800. A rare, beautiful old entrée dish from the early 19th century. Georgian Sheffield plate with intricate hand engraved floral designs. The oblong shaped entrée dish features a chased loop handle with floral, shell and foliate decoration with a matching detachable lid. There are four parts in total including a top lid that is numbered "3", interior dish and a hot water tank with serving lid. The hot water tank is tin lined. The entrée dish stands on four scrolled rocaille cast feet. When disassembled you have three serving dishes. All the plate is in perfect, unworn condition.
