About the Item
A superb antique mahogany cutlery chest, elegantly crafted in the Georgian style with richly figured flame mahogany veneers and a beautifully polished finish. The chest stands on finely carved cabriole legs with acanthus leaf decoration and classic ball and claw feet, reflecting exceptional craftsmanship and period charm.
The two lockable drawers, fitted with ornate brass handles, are lined in deep green felt and contain a complete 12-place setting silver plate canteen by Walker
Hall, Sheffield. Each piece is neatly housed in its original fitted compartments, featuring fine detailing and the renowned Walker
Hall hallmark — a testament to the superior quality of Sheffield silver plate.
A refined and practical statement piece, this combination of elegant furniture and distinguished English silver plate flatware would make a splendid addition to any dining room or collector’s collection.
